Savane Organic Skincare is offering TWO readers of African Babies Don't Cry the opportunity to each win part of their complete skincare range, including their soothing cleanser, gentle exfoliant, purifying toner, anti-aging lift serum, balancing face oil and protective moisturiser to the total value of nearly R3000.
I was so excited to receive the range from Savane Organic Skincare, and on opening my parcel, the packaging did not disappoint, these products are beautifully packaged in aluminium!
We’ve chosen aluminium packaging because it is unbreakable, light-weight, endlessly recyclable and protects our certified organic formulations from UV light. While aluminium takes a lot of energy to make, it uses only 5% of this energy to recycle. Also because it weighs so little, fuel consumption is greatly reduced when transporting. All our packaging has been approved by Ecocert as safe and eco-friendly.
With first use of the products from Savane I completely fell in love with them. They all smell absolutely heavenly, but not in a synthetic commercial scent way, in an all-natural and totally botanical way. Savane Organic Skincare products are all certified organic (by Ecocert) and are free from chemicals. What they do contain, however, are fabulous African ingredients such as Rooibos, Marula Oil, Buchu and Boabab. Savane are very proud of the fact that their ingredients are sustainably harvested, they are a member of Phytotrade Africa.
Savane products are inspired by the traditional knowledge of indigenous plants from the tribes/communities who first discovered their properties centuries ago. Ethical sourcing of our ingredients helps preserve this cultural heritage, and simultaneously benefit those who have shared this knowledge with us.
The Soothing Cleanser's key ingredients are Aloe Ferox, Rooibos and Moringa. This lightweight brown gel foams easily and leaves skin feeling refreshed, clean and pure. It removes make-up easily but is gentle enough to not leave skin feeling stripped.
I suffer with uneven skin tone, and so I loved that the Gentle Exfoliant is gentle enough to be used every day. Its key ingredients are Rooibos, Marula and Jojoba, which leave skin feeling silky soft. I experienced great results with just three weeks of use of the Savane range, and I believe this exfoliant had much to do with it. My dark spots are lighter and my skin is brighter, making it look much more even and healthy.
The Purifying Toner with Rooibos has a heavenly scent, and does a fabulous job at priming the face for moisturiser.
The key ingredients in the Anti Aging Lift Serum are Kigelia, Boabab and Buchu. Kigelia has skin tightening properties and smoothes wrinkles, whilst Boabab, Rooibos and Buchu fight free radical damage. I found my skin is tighter and firmer and my fine lines around my eyes are smoother.
I loved the Balancing Face Oil, and used it every night in place of the moisturiser. I found it left my skin feeling moisturised, whilst packed with nourishment. Its key ingredients are the oils from the Marula, Kalahari Melon and Manketti which supply essential fatty acids to feed the skin.
The Protective Moisturiser is a lightweight yet nourishing moisturiser which I used every morning. This moisturiser is easily absorbed and does not leave skin feeling oily, and yet it is nourishing enough to leave my skin soft and silky in these winter months. This moisturiser includes Marula, Kalahari Melon and Manketti oils to provide deep hydration.
As I mentioned before, I have fallen completely in love with the Savane range. The range is suitable for all skin types, and is a perfect fit for both women and men. The Savane Organic Skincare range is good for you and good for our earth, and as an added bonus, they offer up the option to return your empty packaging which they will recycle it for you!
